Lucky #7 For FSW In Week One Men's Basketball Rankings
Off to a 2-0 start to their 2021 campaign, the Florida SouthWestern State Men’s Basketball team moved up one spot to #7 in the NJCAA Week One National Rankings released on Monday.
CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Off to a 2-0 start to their 2021 campaign, the Florida SouthWestern State Men's Basketball team moved up one spot to #7 in the NJCAA Week One National Rankings released on Monday.
The Bucs earned a pair of wins against old Suncoast Conference rivals on the opening week of competition, downing Hillsborough 76-71 Wednesday before taking care of business on the road against Polk State on Saturday 75-62.
The poll remained mostly unchanged with John A. Logan continuing to hold the top spot with South Plains, Tallahassee, and Pearl River falling in behind them. Along with FSW, Tallahasee, and Gulf Coast at #9, another FCSAA squad joined the rankings this week as Northwest Florida jumped in at #23.
The Bucs will make a trip across the state on Wednesday to take on Eastern Florida in Melbourne in a 7 PM tip before returning home to Suncoast Credit Union Arena next Saturday where they will host the aforementioned Northwest Florida State Raiders in a Top 25 battle Saturday afternoon at 2 PM.
