38 Bucs Earn NJCAA All-Academic Team Honors

Following another strong season on the court and in the field for the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers, their accomplishments in the classroom once again matched that success as 38 Bucs were named to the NJCAA All-Academic Teams on Thursday for posting a 3.60 or better GPA for the 2023-2024 school year.

Carlos Rodriguez To Make MLB Debut, Become First FSW Player in Big Leagues

Former Florida SouthWestern ace Carlos Rodriguez is set to make Buccaneers history on Tuesday as he was called up to the Milwaukee Brewers and is expected to make his Major League Baseball debut against the Toronto Blue Jays tonight at American Family Field, making him the first FSW player to reach the Big Leagues since the program's restart in 2016.

The Florida SouthWestern Baseball program had a pair of firsts on Monday as Victor Figueroa became the Bucs first 1st Team NJCAA All-American hitter in program history while Figueroa and Justin Thomas became the first FSW duo to both be named to the NJCAA All-American team in the same season.

A trio of Florida SouthWestern State sluggers were named to the FCSAA 1st Team All-State Team on Thursday as Justin Thomas and Nate Earley joined FCSAA Player of the Year Victor Figueroa on the list while Bucs catcher Salvador Alvarez was named the FCSAA Defensive Player of the Year.

Early Hole Too Much For Bucs In Season Ending Loss

The #19 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers saw their 2024 season come to an end Saturday afternoon in Tampa as an early 6-2 deficit was too much to overcome in an 8-3 loss to #10 Indian River in the FCSAA State Tournament. FSW finishes the season 37-21.

Bucs Drop Heartbreaker In State Quarters

The #19 Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers lost a seesaw battle Friday night in the FCSAA State Tournament Quarterfinals, watching a late lead evaporate as the #5 Northwest Florida State Raiders walked them off 8-7 to send the Bucs to the elimination bracket where their season will be on the line on Saturday.

Following a series sweep of the Santa Fe Saints to open the 2024 postseason, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers have re-entered the NJCAA Top 20 in the final poll of the year, checking in at #19 with a 37-19 record.

Jordan Huskey threw seven solid innings and Jared Davis drove in the game winning run in the 8th inning as the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers defeated the Santa Fe Saints 3-2 to sweep the Fort Myers Regional and advance to the FCSAA State Tournament Final Four for the first time since the 2021 season.

Landen Burch fired six shutout innings and Victor Figueroa drove in three runs as the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers defeated the Santa Fe Saints 8-1 in the opening game of the Fort Myers Regional at Buccaneers Park on Friday.
