38 Bucs Earn NJCAA All-Academic Team Honors

Following another strong season on the court and in the field for the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers, their accomplishments in the classroom once again matched that success as 38 Bucs were named to the NJCAA All-Academic Teams on Thursday for posting a 3.60 or better GPA for the 2023-2024 school year.

Following another outstanding year both in the classroom and in competition, eight Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers have earned CSC Academic All-District honors for the 2023-2024 academic year. The Bucs eight student-athletes honored were the only junior college student-athletes in the state of Florida to earn the honors.

Bucs Season Ends In Last Second Heartbreaker

In what seemed to be the story of their season, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers suffered another last second defeat Wednesday night in the opening round of the FCSAA State Tournament in Niceville, watching as #9 Northwest Florida State was fouled and made a free throw with 2.7 seconds remaining to come away with a 66-65 win to end the Buccaneers 2024 season.

Bucs Suffer Heartbreaking Loss In Regular Season Finale

The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers led the #8 Daytona State Falcons for 37:56 of their Citrus Conference tilt Monday night in Suncoast Credit Union Arena.  The Falcons didn't lead for a single second of game action.  However, in one of the oddest quirks you will see on a stat sheet, the Falcons, who erased a 17 point FSW lead over the final 10 minutes of the contest, got a game winning basket with less than 0.1 on the clock to stun the Bucs and claim their share of the inaugural Citrus Conference Championship.

Pioneers Upset Bucs In Final Road Game of 2024

For the second straight game, the #24  Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers struggled in the second half Saturday afternoon on the road at Indian River, unfortunately for the Bucs, they didn't have the same 24 point lead at the break they did the last time out and it cost them as Indian River pulled off a 79-76 upset to make the Bucs road to a Citrus Conference Championship much more difficult with one game left to go in the regular season.
