CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers will head into the 2023 postseason as the #3 ranked team in the land, as the NJCAA released it's final National Rankings of the season with the Bucs third on Monday.
The Bucs wrapped up the regular season with three wins last week, running their season record to 46-5 as they head into postseason play. They began the week with a shutout victory over Miami Dade Monday, clinching their seventh straight Conference Championship in the process. They were flawless in their final tuneup of the regular season, sweeping South Florida State 11-2, 8-0 in a pair of contests at Buccaneer Park in Fort Myers.
The Week 10 poll remained mostly unchanged at the top with each of the top six teams from a week ago holding their spot. Odessa picked up all eight first place votes to close the regular season on top of the rankings while Wallace State checked in at #2 in front of the Bucs with Walters State and Grayson rounding out the top five. From there it was a heavy dose of the Sunshine State as Northwest Florida State was #6, Central Florida was #7, Seminole State #8, and Indian River #11.
FSW begins it's postseason run on Friday in Clermont when they open the FCSAA State Tournament with a first round matchup against Pensacola State at 10:00 AM.
