Bucs Volleyball Named to AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll
The Florida SouthWestern Volleyball program got it done both on the court this season, where they won their third straight NJCAA National Championship, and off the court, where Monday they were one of just four NJCAA Division I programs in the country to be named to the 2025 AVCA Team Academic Award Honor Roll.
LEXINGTON, Ky.- The Florida SouthWestern Volleyball program got it done both on the court this season, where they won their third straight NJCAA National Championship, and off the court, where Monday they were one of just four NJCAA Division I programs in the country to be named to the 2025 AVCA Team Academic Award Honor Roll.
The Bucs were one of seven programs across all levels of collegiate Volleyball, both Women's and Men's that won a National Championship on the court and was also awarded the AVCA Team Academic Award for 2024-2025. FSW put together a program record 3.75 Team GPA which put them in even more elite company as one of just four NJCAA Division I programs to be named to the Team Academic Award Honor Roll.
FSW has now won the AVCA Team Academic Award in all six seasons as a program.
"It is very exciting to see that the record-setting, on-court successes during the 2024-25 season have extended to the classroom," says AVCA CEO Jaime Gordon. "The fact that more programs earned the Team Academic Award than ever before is evidence of how committed our coaches are when it comes to helping their players reach their goals as both students and athletes."
The 2025-2026 Bucs will begin their quest for National Championship number four on August 22nd in the Battle at the Beach Tournament at Suncoast Credit Union Arena in Fort Myers.
